Mesh/Process

For more than a decade, I have been developing an experimental screen-printing process using industrial mesh. The screens are constructed and stenciled entirely by hand, without photo emulsion, digital printing, or laser cutting. I have developed a specific process for transferring highly detailed imagery onto the coarse, open structure of industrial mesh, allowing me to create large, flexible stencils without the rigid frames used in conventional screen printing. What began in part as a response to the limitations I encountered in traditional screen printing has evolved into a flexible system for making paintings, prints, stencils, and large-scale installations.
